There are quite a few sudoku tips available that will help you solve even the most difficult puzzles. Among them is a technique that is frequently used by many players, it is commonly referred to as the x-wing technique. The X-Wing technique hs been around for quite a while it involves finding a possible candidate and than looking for rows where you can find two available cells so that the two locations are both in the same columns.
If a candidate has only two possible locations in two seperate rows that lie in the same two columns, then you can remove this number from the possible candidates of other cells in these two columns.

In the above diagram we see the xwing displayed, another of the more popular sudoku tips is very similar to ths it is called the swordfish. The swordfish is used on a more a larger scale, using three rows and columns instead of the two you find in the x-wing. .
It is named after a world war 2 biplane used by the royal navy during the second world war. If two lines are drawn along the differnet rows and columns of your sudoku, and you than connect all the squares involved, you will see that they form two rectangles both connected at the corners.
